WMVA has established a privacy policy to respond to past coaches that have used our e-mail lists to go off and promote their own independent activities. This document serves to outline our commitment to your privacy and the protection of your information.
Why are you receiving our weekly e-mails?
Our e-mail marketing is permission based. If you received an announcement e-mail from us, our records indicate that:
1- You (or your child) have registered for a WMVA camp or league;
2- You (or your child) have registered for a WMVA or Junior Bison Volleyball team;
3- You have expressly asked to have your e-mail added to our e-mail registry;
4- You are a supplier, or otherwise have a relationship with WMVA;
5- You work in a related field (school, community club) and we wish to ensure that you are aware of youth sporting opportunities available to young athletes in the area.
How can you stop receiving e-mails from us?
Every e-mail that is sent from our system contains simple instructions on how to “unsubscribe”. Following these instructions will permanently remove your e-mail from our mailing list.
How do we protect your privacy?
We no longer e-mail coaches and “cc” team managers and parents. All small group announcements are “bcc” to ensure that no coaches can access e-mails outside of his/her team.
Furthermore, all mass e-mails are now performed through the secure server of our web site provider. These e-mails are sent out “one at a time”. No “cc” or “Bcc” attached e-mails. There is absolutely no way for anyone to access these private e-mails.
Sharing and Usage.
We will never share or sell our mailing list with other sport providers. Others interested in making their services available to our athletes are encouraged to e-mail us and we will post their services on our web site where everyone is welcome to access the information.
Therefore, our e-mail registration list is only available to our staff for internal use.
