2012 Adult Co-ed League at "The Ranch Saloon"

IMPORTANT: Please note that we use one standard form for our youth and adult registration. This will be changed for the fall 2012-2013 season however, our forms do ask for parent info. Feel free to write "n/a" when possible.

Beach volleyball has grown into one of the most popular summer sports in the world. It is most commonly played in competitive 2s and recreational 4s and 6s.

Who can play? All adults 18 and over are welcome to join the “Summer Smash Adult Co-ed Beach League” at The Ranch Saloon. We welcome full teams and individuals. Don’t have a team… we’ll match you up!

Start date: All the fun starts on Sunday, June 17, 2012 with our “Summer Smash Open House”. This is where individuals are matched up with others and where all teams are tiered for the season. Food, drinks & prizes available for everyone!

Venue: The Ranch Saloon on Pembina just north of Bishop Grandin. Music and refreshments on two brand new Sand Courts… a guaranteed good time!

Co-ed 4’s on Thursdays:
• From 5 pm - 9 pm.
• Cost: $50/player
• Team Registration: $180/team

Co-ed 6’s on Sundays:
• From 2pm – 9pm
• Cost: $50/player
• Team Registration: $270/team

General Information:

Sun., June 17, 2012: Open House

Thur., June 21, 2012: Start date – 4s.

Sun., June 23, 2012: Start date – 6s.

Sun., August 26, 2012: Championship Tournament for 4s and 6s.

Players - 4's: 2 men/2women;
6's: 3 men/3 women.

Cost – Individuals: $50;
4s full team: $180;
6s full team: $270.

Season – 10 weeks plus season ending Championship Tournament.

Game Times – Thursday 4s have start times of 5:00pm; 6:30pm; and 8:00pm.

Game times – Sunday 6s have start times of 2:00pm; 3:30pm; 5:00pm; 6:30pm; and 8:00pm.

Event Coordinator – A “Summer Smash” league coordinator will be available to ensure all goes well.

Please Note – Although the Summer Smash Adult Co-ed Beach League expects to offer two tiers of 4s and 6s it may be required to combine different skill levels into one division based on total # of registrations and/or # of teams registered.

Fair play rules – all players follow their rotation – if spares are available. Matches are best of 3 (two sets to 21 – third to 15).

League ends in August with all teams competing in a year-end tournament.

Rain-Out Games:

If it is raining throughout the day... Please DO NOT call the WMVA office line until at least 4:00 pm that day. If you wish to check to see if a game has been called due to rain please call the WMVA office at 269-777 after 4:00pm.

Rain Week:

Rain week is reserved strictly for the re-scheduling of matches cancelled by the Summer Series Staff on account of rain or other reasons.

Forfeiture Procedure:

All games shall start on time as scheduled.
A team that fails to be ready to play 5 minutes after the scheduled game time (6:05pm, 7:05pm, 8:05pm or 9:05pm) will be penalized by loss of the first set by forfeit.
A further 15 minutes will be allowed before forfeiture of the second set (loss of match for best of 3) and an additional 15 minutes will be allowed before forfeiture of the third set (loss of match for best of 5).
There will be NO GAME CANCELLATIONS ALLOWED.

Registration Information:

There are three ways to register:

1- On-line Registration: To register on-line for our adult co-ed volleyball league simply click on the "Other Payment" button on the right-hand side of this page.

Once you submit the form you will be e-mailed a receipt. That is your proof of purchase and your confirmation that the registration was properly received.

2- Mail-in Registration: To register by mail for our "Summer Smash Adult Co-ed Beach League" simply print the "Summer Smash Adult Co-ed Beach League brochure and mail-in the registration form as instructed.

Please remember to forward the completed form to the address listed on the form along with your payment in full. In this case, you will be forwarded a confirmation e-mail once we process your registration. If you do not receive an e-mail confirming reception of the form within 10 working days please contact us at info@minorvolleyball.com .

3- In Person: To register in person simply drop by our office at unit B - 2003 Portage ave. (please call first) or at the Beach League Open House on Sunday, June 17, 2012.
