We have registered and no one has contacted us. What do we do? Registrations come into the administrative office and are forwarded to the Executive Director, then sent over to Kristine Taylor. You should contact Kristine at ktaylor@wmva.ca.
Do I need to be a "member" to participate? Not at all. Our "members" are those who choose to play in our leagues or have requested to be put on our mailing list.
What if I don't have a full team, can I still get in? Yes, we will register individuals or small groups. As long as there are enough other individuals registering for the league, we can form a team. If your first choice doesn't work, we can surely get you into your second choice.
What happens when a season is finished? You have the option to re-register for the next season. Current teams will get advance notice so they can register early and save their spot. However, a new season provides an equal opportunity for new players and teams to get into the leagues.
What if I have a buddy who wants to play as well - can we get on the same team? Yes, as long as you have registered early enough and there are enough singles to make up a team, we always keep friends together on the same team.
Where should I go on the site to get registered? Simply click on the "League Registration" button on the right-hand side of this page.
When/where are volleyball games played? Volleyball games are played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at various schools around the city. Matches are held on Sunday afternoons so not to conflict with school sports.
Are teams tiered? Volleyball teams play an open format with all teams in the same tier.
How many tournaments are scheduled? Each session ends with a tournament. That means that the Fall Session ends in mid December with a tournament. The Winter Session ends in mid March with a Tournament and the Spring Session ends in early June with a tournament. |
