General:

Is the camp full? Although our listing of how many spots are still available is not updated daily once a camp is full it is immediately removed from our registration page (online payment form).

Does the WMVA provide boys camps? No. However, all our camps are now co-ed to allow more boys the opportunity to participate.

Are Camps open to anyone? Yes.

What is the registration deadline? There is no registration deadline. Camps are filled on a first-come basis. Registration is online. And most camps have been filled within weeks of being announced.

Who are the instructors? Most camp instructors are certified club coaches from around the city.

Are Skills Camp instructors certified? Yes.

Do athletes practice team play? Yes. However, the focus is on the fundamentals of teh sport.

What is the cost? Summer Development Camps are generally full-day camps at $200-225 while Fall/Winter Camps are weeknight/Sunday 3-hour sessions at $120 for nine weeks of training.

Are WMVA Skills Camps for beginners? The term "beginner" is a subjective one. Everyone starts as a relative beginner and most 14 & under (and many 15 & under athletes) have yet to commit to competitive volleyball. In brief, our camps are designed to introduce young athletes to the type of training that is required to make the transition from a recreational volleyball player to a competitive one. Any young athlete considering pursuing the sport at a higher level will find these camps very helpful.

How long are the sessions? Summer Camps are week-long camps running from 8:30am-4:00pm or 9-4pm, Monday-Friday. Fall and Winter Camps run for 9 weeks from October-December and January-March. These are 2-3 hour sessions that are offered during the week or on Sunday afternoons.

When are Summer Camps? WMVA Skills Camps are offered in late August. These camps are back-to-school primers that focus on preparing athletes for their return to school.

About Registration:

I have tried registering on-line and the site is not available? The registration page is on a "secure network page". These are reserved for internet transactions. If you are attempting to access this page from your work station your employer may have blocked access to these sites. This is quite common. Please try again from your home computer. If that doesn't work please contact us at info@minorvolleyball.com and we will e-mail you a form that you can complete and mail in with a cheque.

Can I pay by cheque? Yes. Simply print the "WMVA Camp Registration Form" and mail it along with your cheque to the address listed at the top of the form.

I have no access to the internet at home. How can I pay by cheque? Simply call us at 204-269-7777 or e-mail us at info@minorvolleyball.com and provide us with your mailing address. We would be happy to mail you a registration form.

There is a conflict and I need to ask for a refund. What do I do? Refunds must be requested in writing. However, this can be done by e-mailing us at info@minorvolleyball.com Be sure to include the name of the athlete and the camp he/she is registered in. If you mailed in the form you would need to state that as a cheque will need to be mailed back to you.
