Are WMVA Skills Camps for beginners? The term "beginner" is a subjective one. Everyone starts as a relative beginner and most 14 & under (and many 15 & under athletes) have yet to commit to competitive volleyball. In brief, our camps are designed to introduce young athletes to the type of training that is required to make the transition from a recreational volleyball player to a competitive one. Any young athlete considering pursuing the sport at a higher level will find these camps very helpful.
How long are the sessions? Summer Camps are week-long camps running from 8:30am-4:00pm or 9-4pm, Monday-Friday. Fall and Winter Camps run for 9 weeks from October-December and January-March. These are 2-3 hour sessions that are offered during the week or on Sunday afternoons.
When are Summer Camps? WMVA Skills Camps are offered in late August. These camps are back-to-school primers that focus on preparing athletes for their return to school. |
