We have registered and no one has contacted us. What do we do? Registrations come into the administrative office and are forwarded to the Executive Director. You should contact Chris Marshall at info@wmva.ca .
Is this a fair-play environment? Yes. That being said, please remember that coaches do have the right to restrict the playing time of athletes that regularly miss practices or otherwise do not understand their assignments on the court. Furthermore, parents must also understand that not all athletes play the same position and may therefore not play equally with athletes playing other positions.
When/where are volleyball games played? Volleyball games are played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at various schools around the city. Matches are held on Sunday afternoons so not to conflict with school sports.
When and where are practices? There are no practices held during the spring program.
Are teams tiered? Teams are not generally tiered.
How many tournaments are scheduled? Each session ends with a tournament.
What are the age classes? For the upcoming 2011 spring session the WMVA will form its teams according to school grades.
Therefore teams will be formed according to:
Bantam teams – athletes in grades 7 & 8.
Midget teams: – athletes in grades 9 & 10.
Juvenile teams: – athletes in grades 11 & 12. |
